Furniture Removal in Decatur
We remove the sofa that won't fit the new room, the sagging mattress and the dresser nobody wants. Our crew handles disassembly, the stairs and the tight turns, then sweeps up before we leave. You get a price on the spot before anything moves.

When it makes sense to call for furniture removal
Furniture tends to weigh more and handle worse than you expect. A sleeper sofa hides a steel pull-out frame that adds real weight, a solid oak dresser is heavy hardwood, and a reclining sectional has wiring and motors in each seat. Getting those down a narrow hall without denting plaster or cracking a door jamb depends on doing things in the right order, not on muscle alone.
That counts in Decatur, where plenty of older bungalows and craftsman homes have doorways and stair turns built well before king beds and oversized sectionals existed. We work out the route first, take pieces apart when the hardware allows, and carry them out in sections.
We started this work in 2021, and customers have left more than 1,200 Google reviews. If you have more to clear than furniture, we can handle junk removal and basement cleanouts during the same visit.

What our furniture removal includes
- 01
Disassembly on site
We remove bed rails, headboard bolts, table legs and sectional connector brackets so pieces fit through doors. Hardware is bagged with the frame, not left loose on your floor.
- 02
Protection for your home
We pad door frames and banister corners and lay runners on finished floors along the carry path. We are licensed and insured, so the work in your home is covered.
- 03
Every room and level
Upstairs bedrooms, finished basements, screened porches and backyard patios are all in scope. You point to the pieces and we do all the lifting.
- 04
Mattresses and box springs
Mattresses go out wrapped when you ask, which keeps dust and loose fibers off walls on the way down the stairs.
- 05
Donation when it makes sense
A solid wood table or a clean bookcase still has use. When a piece is in usable shape, we try to route it to donation instead of the landfill.
- 06
Cleanup after the carry
Once the room is empty we sweep the floor where the furniture stood, including the dust and felt pads that were under it for years.
Questions about Furniture Removal?
Call(404) 882-6905Signs it is time to get rid of that piece
Broken springs or a sunken seat
When sinuous springs snap or the webbing tears, the cushion drops and no new foam will fix it. Repair often costs more than the sofa is worth.
Musty odor or mildew spots
Upholstery stored in a damp basement or garage through a humid Georgia summer can grow mildew deep in the padding. Cleaning the surface rarely removes the smell.
Wobbling particleboard
Flat-pack dressers and bookcases loosen at the cam locks after a move or two. Once the particleboard around a screw crumbles, it will not hold again.
A new piece is on the way
If a delivery crew is bringing a new sofa or bed, the old one needs to be gone first. Clearing it ahead of time keeps the delivery simple.
A move, estate or downsizing
Furniture that will not fit the next place or that family members do not want is easier to clear in one visit than piece by piece.
How the job runs on the day
- 1
Walk-through and price
We look at each piece and the route out, then give you an upfront price with no hidden fees. Nothing moves until you agree to it.
- 2
Route and protection
We measure the tight spots, pad corners and jambs, and lay runners. If a piece needs to come apart, we do it in the room it sits in.
- 3
Carry out and load
Two people handle the heavy items, especially on stairs. Pieces are loaded and secured in our truck at the curb or driveway.
- 4
Sweep and sort
We clean the floor where the furniture stood. Back at our end, usable pieces are set aside for donation and the rest goes for proper disposal.
What sets the price of furniture removal
We price by the room your furniture takes up in the truck and the effort needed to get it there. You hear that number in person at the free on-site estimate, before anything is lifted.
- Truck space
- A loveseat fills a small corner of the truck, while a full dining set takes far more. How much space it all needs matters most.
- Stairs and access
- Carrying from the ground floor goes faster than from a third-floor bedroom or a basement with a cramped landing. A long walk from the back yard adds time as well.
- Taking pieces apart
- Bunk beds, platform beds and modular sectionals need careful breakdown. Furniture that leaves in one piece costs less to handle.
- Weight and construction
- Sleeper sofas, solid wood armoires and power recliners call for extra hands or extra care on stairs, and that can change the price.
Furniture removal FAQ
Do drawers and closets need to be empty?
Please empty them before we arrive. Anything left inside adds weight and shifts as we carry, which makes stairs tougher and damage more likely. If the contents should go too, say so at the estimate and we will include them in the price.
Can you take apart a bed frame or sectional?
Yes. Our crew brings the tools to remove rails, headboards, legs and sectional brackets, so there is no prep work for you.
Will you come out for just one piece?
We will. A lone couch or mattress is a common job, and the price depends on its size and how tricky the carry is.
How soon can a crew come?
Same-day and next-day service is available, based on how full the week is. Call and we will share the open times.
What happens to the furniture you haul?
Pieces in usable shape are held for donation when we can find them a home. Broken, stained or mildewed items go to proper disposal.

Ready for an emptier room?
Tell us which pieces are leaving and which rooms they are in. We will come by, look at the way out and quote a firm price before we pick anything up.
