Garage Cleanouts in Decatur
We clear out garages that have turned into storage rooms. You point to what goes, we carry it out, load it and haul it off, then sweep the floor. Most garages are finished in a single visit, and the price is set before we lift anything.

When to Book a Garage Cleanout
A garage cleanout is the right fit when the whole space is the problem, not a single item. Most of the time it is years of overflow: boxes from the last move, a treadmill that quit, scrap lumber, old paint cans and a mower that won't start. If the car has been living in the driveway because the bay is full, the job is more than a few trips to the curb.
Georgia humidity is hard on garages too. Cardboard on a concrete slab draws moisture up from the floor, goes soft and begins to smell of mildew. Particleboard shelves swell along the edges and stop holding screws. Damp paper and fabric attract roaches and mice. Often the only way to tell whether the slab, walls or door track have problems is to clear away the pile in front of them.
We have done this work since 2021, and we are licensed and insured, which counts when a crew is taking heavy shelving off your walls and moving equipment past your car and house.

What a Garage Cleanout Includes
- 01
Sorting alongside you
We go through the garage with you first and agree on what to keep, donate and haul. Nothing goes without your okay.
- 02
Removing shelving and workbenches
We take down freestanding metal racks, sagging particleboard shelves and built-in workbenches. Wall-mounted shelving comes down with its fasteners pulled, so no sharp screws are left sticking out.
- 03
Heavy equipment and large items
Old mowers, treadmills, chest freezers, tires and bikes can all go. For motorized equipment, draining the fuel beforehand helps; we will point out at the estimate which items need it.
- 04
Sorting for donation and recycling
Where possible, usable furniture and tools are set aside for donation, and scrap metal is pulled for recycling rather than going straight to the landfill.
- 05
A swept floor at the end
After the last load leaves, we sweep the slab so you can see the floor and decide what comes back in.
Questions about Garage Cleanouts?
Call(404) 882-6905Signs Your Garage Needs a Cleanout
The car no longer fits
If the bay holds boxes instead of a vehicle, your car is taking the sun, pollen and hail in the driveway while the garage protects things you have not opened in years.
Musty smell or stained boxes
Water lines on the bottom of cardboard mean moisture is coming up through the slab or in under the door seal. The contents are already damaged and the mildew will spread.
Droppings or chewed packaging
Mice and roaches nest in stacked paper and fabric. Removing their cover is the first step before any pest treatment can work.
Shelves leaning or bowing
Overloaded particleboard bends in the middle and pulls away from its supports. A collapse can damage what is below it or hurt whoever is reaching for it.
You are getting ready to sell or move
Buyers and inspectors want to see the walls, the floor and the garage door hardware. A full garage also slows down moving day.
How Cleanout Day Works
- 1
Free estimate in person
We see the garage in person, note the volume and any heavy or awkward pieces, and give you an upfront price with no hidden fees.
- 2
Walkthrough on the day
When we arrive, we confirm what stays and what goes. Things you are keeping get moved aside or out to the driveway so we can work around them.
- 3
Carrying out and loading
We start at the door and work inward, opening a path first so no one has to climb over piles. Shelving comes down once it is empty, and heavy items go on the bottom of the truck.
- 4
Final sweep and check
We sweep the slab, walk through with you and make sure nothing you meant to keep ended up on the truck.
What Sets the Price of a Garage Cleanout
The price mostly depends on how much truck space the load fills and how much labor it takes to get it loaded. We give you the figure at the on-site estimate, before work begins, so you know it in advance.
- Amount of stuff
- A single-car garage that is half full and a crammed two-car garage are very different jobs. How much there is matters more than anything else.
- Material and weight
- Concrete pavers, old tile, bagged soil and lumber are heavy for how much room they take. Dense loads can cost more than bulky, light ones like empty boxes and foam.
- Taking things down
- Built-in workbenches, wall-mounted cabinets and anchored racks take time to remove safely, and that labor is included in the estimate.
- Items that need special handling
- Tires, batteries, propane tanks and old paint can't just go in with the rest of the load. At the estimate we will tell you which of these we can take and how they are handled.
Garage Cleanout FAQ
Does everything need to be sorted before you arrive?
It does not. Many customers call because sorting on their own feels like too much. Tagging a few keepers speeds up the walkthrough, and we can sort alongside you on job day.
Will you haul paint, oil and garden chemicals?
Latex paint, motor oil, pesticides and pool chemicals each have their own disposal rules, and some can't ride in a regular load. At the estimate we check what you have, say what we can take and point you to the right drop-off for the rest.
How much time does a cleanout take?
A typical one-car garage usually takes about two hours. A full two-car garage with shelving to take down can use up most of the day. We give you a realistic time window with your estimate.
I'm on a deadline. How soon can you get here?
Same-day and next-day service is available, based on our schedule and the job's size. Share your date when you call and we will tell you straight whether we can make it.
Will you take out shelving and the workbench?
We will. Metal racks, particleboard shelves and built-in benches all come down and go on the truck. If you would like to keep a solid rack for reorganizing, just say so during the walkthrough.
How do I know your work is good?
We have over 1,200 Google reviews, and plenty of them are about garages. You can also judge us at the estimate, where you get a firm price face to face before anything is moved.

Ready to Park in Your Garage Again
We will come look at the space, tell you exactly what we can haul and give you a firm price before any work starts. If you have a basement or storage unit that needs the same treatment, we can quote it on the same visit.
